Motivation is an essential component for students in senior level education. It can be defined as a driving force, which induces students to act in a certain manner and this ensures sustainable growth of a student in the long run. This paper intends to discuss the significance of employee motivation from the perspective of strategic human resource management (HRM). Strategies adapted by the HR managers to improve employee motivation have been discussed in the paper.
The issue of employees’ turnover not only affect human resource professionals but also, the issue of labor turnover has attracted the attention of senior management and industrial psychologists. Causes of turnover can be “Salary and Fringe benefits”, “Attitude of managers”, “Available alternative opportunities”, etc. there are advantages as well as disadvantages to employee turnover, but to an employer the disadvantages always outweigh advantages. Hence, theory of motivation can be applied in order to retain valuable employees. It cannot be denied that employees are indispensable for companies and they need to be motivated and retained in the company.
This research work is based on determining the impact of emotional intelligence of the leaders on the performance as well as the job satisfaction of the followers. It is based on quantitative analysis that involves a survey on the employees of several banking companies including Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China Minsheng Banking Corp. etc. The regression output stated that the emotional intelligence of leaders was related to the job satisfaction of the followers but it had no significant impact on the employee turnover intentions.
Employee satisfaction and high attrition rate of the workers are the two most difficult issues that have been dealt by the managers across the organizations. In this research work aims to investigate the relationship between employee satisfaction and employee turnover in the context of Chinese luxury hotels where high turnover of the employees has become a major issue. Findings have revealed that employee satisfaction and attrition rate of the employees are inversely correlated to each other. For instance, the factors such as attractive salary package, proper work environment etc. can increase employee satisfaction and reduce turnover rate.
This research intends to derive a relation between reward management on turnover of the employees and their performance. Quantitative research has been conducted in this case. A survey with the employees has been performed in the research. Based on this research, it has been found that effective reward management policy plays a vital role in reducing the attrition rate of the employees.
In contemporary business environment, employees are considered to the most valuable asset for an organization. The report attempts to evaluate a range of literature in order to determine the factors that influence employees’ attitude and job satisfaction and how these two factors can impact on an employee’s motivation. Taking into consideration several academic models and theoretical propositions, the paper would conclude on possible ways of influencing employee attitudes and job satisfaction positively.
