The management practices of an organisation largely define its corporate culture, operational activities and its sustainability. However, questionable or unethical management practices can lead of high risk of failure and can also adversely impact the corporate image of the company (Bloom and Van Reenen, 2010). This paper discusses about the questionable management practices of the German car manufacturing company Volkswagen. The management decision and its execution have been thoroughly analysed by using organisational theories, to underpin its implications. Based on the findings of the critical analysis, a recommendation has been proposed to the managers that can persuade them for a need for immediate change in the management practices.
